What band/projects are you currently involved in?
I've been playing guitar for a groove metal band called Tiametria for around 5 years now. There's been ups, downs and lineup changes but we're still in the process of getting some tracks out. Also currently playing for a prog/death metal band called Mothflesh. Check out our latest music video called Gravity Kings. Aside from that, I love working in the studio, tracking songs and also occasionally do gear reviews/demos on SoundCloud. Hope to do more of that in the future.
What/who are your main musical influences?
I am and always will be a metalhead! \m/ love prog metal more than anything. Bands that inspire my style are Lamb of God, Megadeth, Periphery, Symphony X, Dream Theater, Tool and many many more. My influences also extend to film and game soundtrack composers like Hans Zimmer, Two Steps from Hell and other composers alike.
What are your weapons of choice?
With my Jackson RR3 and Ibanez Iron Label 7 string, loaded with Seymour Duncan pickups and paired with a Blackstar HT-Metal distortion pedal, I can get tones that can only be found in the deepest pits of hell. For effects I mostly use stuff by TC Electronics. I love my tone raw and aggressive.
What are you currently listening to?
Gojira, Opeth, Ark, Feared and some Deftones. Keith Merrow's stuff is really cool too. Still discovering new music, Spotify is a great help.
Message for young musicians:
Only 2 things are needed to achieve your dreams. Action and perseverance. It doesn't matter if you're moving slow, but keep moving.
